Karlee Kerchersky enters her second season as the assistant softball coach at Elmira College during the 2019-20 academic year.
Kerchersky comes to EC after a two-year career at Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) institution Eastern University. While a member of the Eagles’ softball team, Kerchesky finished top-five on the team in batting average, recording clips of .317 and .346 in 2014 and 2015, respectively. In her sophomore season, Kerchesky helped guide the Eagles to an 11-3 mark in conference play, a six-win increase from the year prior. Seeing time primarily at catcher, she tallied 60 hits, 10 homers, and scored 30 runs, while recording 203 putouts.
Following her graduation from Eastern, Kerchersky spent the last year pursuing a career in strength and conditioning, acting as the Director of Programming at Next Generation Training Center in Montville, New Jersey.
A native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Kerchersky will add seven years of coaching experience to the Soaring Eagles’ dugout after serving as an assistant coach for both the South Jersey Gators Futures and the Marlton Thunder from 2011-17. She helped coordinate strength and conditioning sessions during the offseason and implemented new pregame warm-up plans during her time with the two programs.
Kerchersky graduated from Eastern with a degree in Exercise Science. She is currently pursuing a master’s in Management at Elmira.
