Patrick Bonnell enters his first season as a volunteer assistant with the Elmira College softball team in the 2019-2020 academic year.
Bonnell is currently a manager in the Fury Fastpitch travel softball organization based in nearby Horseheads, New York. His current team is coming off a third-place finish at the USSSA Space Coast World Series in Viera, Florida, in 2019. His teams have won nearly 150 games and 15 tournament titles over the past four years.
A member of the Elmira Free Academy Athletics Hall of Fame, Bonnell was a multi-sport athlete during his prep career, lettering in baseball, basketball, and soccer. He went on to attend Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he was a two-year captain of the baseball team. Bonnell graduated from Gannon among the all-time and single-season leaders in several categories, including games played, doubles, triples and stolen bases.
Bonnell is the president of Kimble, Inc., a local construction company. He resides in Horseheads with his wife and two daughters.
