Aisha Simon is in her second season as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Elmira College in the 2016-17 academic year.
In her first season at EC, Simon coach a pair of Empire 8 All-Conference selections in Niki Lemper '17 and Jordyn Rousselle '18, who each received Honorable Mention accolades.
Simon comes to EC after graduating cum laude from Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, where she played soccer for four seasons, two of which were under first-year Elmira head coach Kaitlyn Mallernee. A defender at Kenyon, Simon played in 37 career games, including 17 appearances as a senior as the Ladies won the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Originally from Brookline, MA, Simon also competed in both indoor and outdoor track in the winter and spring seasons at Kenyon. She was a two-time team captain and won MVP honors in her final season. Simon ran the team’s fastest indoor one-mile race of the season at the NCAC Indoor Championships, finishing 13th overall. As a sophomore, she was named All-NCAC for her performance on the 4,000-meter relay team.
In addition to her coaching duties, Simon is pursuing a master’s degree in Education at Elmira College.
