Mitchell Jordon

Mitchell Jordon comes to Elmira College for his first season as the assistant women’s soccer coach during the 2017-18 academic year.

Jordon begins his career at EC following a season stint as an assistant coach with the Plattsburgh State men’s soccer program. The Cardinals finished with an impressive 12-5-2 overall record, made an appearance in the SUNYAC Tournament and climbed to as high as 18th in the national rankings. Under Jordon’s guidance, three Plattsburgh players received All-Conference recognition from the SUNYAC.

No stranger to the soccer field, Jordon played four seasons as a goalkeeper at Plattsburgh State. He started 56 games and tallied 32-19-4 record with 192 saves and a 0.98 goals against average in his collegiate career. In his three seasons as the Cardinals’ starting netminder, Jordon led the team to one SUNYAC Tournament title (2013) and a pair of NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.

Off of the pitch, Jordon served as a student athletic trainer for four semesters.

Jordon graduated from Plattsburgh State in 2016 with a degree in Fitness and Wellness Leadership and will be working towards a graduate degree in Corporate and Community Education while at Elmira.
