Briley Lawson enters her first year as the Director of Sports Information with Elmira during the 2025-26 academic year. A native of Georgia, Lawson most recently served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she was the primary contact for men's and women's lacrosse, beach volleyball, and men's soccer. In that role, she managed live broadcasts, supervised student-workers, and assisted in hosting the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship.
Prior to her time at PBA, Lawson was the Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of the Cumberlands, where she managed multiple sports, designed graphics and media guides, coordinated national tournament coverage, and oversaw the 2024 NAIA Opening Round Softball Tournament in addition to traveling with teams for postseason play. She also served as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Truett McConnell University, where she worked with more than 20 varsity programs while completing her Master of Business Administration following a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
In addition to her on-campus roles, Lawson is an active member of College Sports Communicators (CSC), where she has contributed to the U Committee and Continuing Education Committee. She was a panelist at the 2025 CSC Unite Convention, discussing crossover content strategies, and served as a moderator for the CSC "Game Plan for Content" webinar. Lawson was also recognized as a finalist for the 2025 CSC Photographer of the Year, finishing ninth overall and first in the NAIA division.
A former collegiate softball standout at Truett McConnell from 2019-2023, Lawson earned multiple First Team All-Conference and NFCA First Team honors while serving as a team captain.
