Puglisi had a tremendous week on the mound against some tough competition. She combined to pitch 14.0 innings in three different games giving up just five earned runs on 11 hits, while striking out six batters.

The junior started off her week in a pitcher’s duel against Piedmont where she gave up just four hits and two runs over 6.0 innings but Elmira couldn’t quite generate enough scoring as it fell, 2-1. Thursday against No. 23 Emory Puglisi went 6.0 innings giving up just two runs and four hits while fanning five batters. Despite four hits the EC offense couldn’t manage to generate a run.

The Softball team has a long break before returning to the diamond March 19th when it travels to Williamsport, PA for a doubleheader against Pennsylvania College of Technology beginning at 2:00 p.m.
