EC trailed Trinity College 2-0 midway through the second period and 2-1 late in the third period, but Elmira's seniors stepped-up when they needed it the most, helping the Soaring Eagles move on to their second NCAA Tournament Semifinal appearance in three years.

Wilgosh inched closer to becoming the first defender in EC history to reach the 100-point mark, recording two points, on one goal and one assist, in the 3-2 overtime victory over Trinity College. Weston continued to perform in EC's biggest moments as she recorded her fourth point of the 2014-15 postseason and the sixth postseason goal of her career.

The final 1:29 of regulation featured four-on-four hockey, a situation that the Purple and Gold, who were trailing by one goal, took full advantage of. The game-tying scoring play started near the blue-line of EC's offensive zone where Lousia Lippiatt Durnell '18 gathered a loose puck and immediately split two Trinity defenders as she raced into the slot. After beating a third Bantam player, Lippiatt Durnell fed a cross-ice pass to Wilgosh who had positioned herself in front of the net. Wilgosh fired the one-timer into the open part of the net, tying the game at two goals apiece.

The game went to overtime thanks to Wilgosh's goal, with Elmira on the power play for the first 31 seconds of the extra period. EC would only need 26 seconds to end the game as the number one power-play unit finally got on the board. The Soaring Eagles got exactly what they were looking for after winning the opening draw and settling into their power play formation. Wilgosh fired a shot from the blue-line that caromed off Sydney Belinskas' pad and left the puck sitting just outside of the crease. Weston came crashing in and backhanded the puck over Belinskas' head, starting Elmira's celebration.
