Griffin had a strong performance in the Soaring Eagles narrow 3-2 loss to Stevens in the quarterfinals of the United Volleyball Conference playoffs on Saturday. The freshman finished with a match-high 16 kills to go with four digs and a block.

The Victor, NY native earned Honorable Mention All-Conference accolades for his performance this season. Griffin currently leads the team in kills (309), while hitting a solid .205 this season. He ranks third on the team with 173 digs and has totaled 47 blocks good for fourth on the team.

The Men’s Volleyball team closes out its season this Saturday in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North Championships hosted by Sage Colleges at the Neff Center in Troy, NY.  The No. 2 seed Elmira takes on No. 3 seed Wentworth Institute of Technology at 1:00 p.m. in the second semifinal. The winner takes on the winner of No. 1 seed Sage Colleges and No. 4 seed Daniel Webster College in the championship at 4:00 p.m.
