Williamsport, PA – The Elmira College Women's Volleyball team continued its impressive play by defeating the Pennsylvania College of Technology 3-1 Thursday evening in Williamsport. The Soaring Eagles improve to 13-1, while the Wildcats drop to 8-7.
EC lost a tight first set, 23-25 but came back to dominate the next three sets winning 25-16, 25-13, 25-13. Brittany Raykoske '12 (Johnstown, NY – Gloversville) finished with a team-high 20 kills, while ECAC Metro-Upstate Player of the Week Sasha Zavadska '13 (Bratislava, SVK – The British School) finished with a double-double at 15 kills and 12 digs.
Jessica Hull '15 (Ypsilanti, MI – Milan) and Taryn Rumsey '14 (Mansfield, PA – Mansfield) finished with seven kills apiece. Catherine Miller '14 (Pittsburg, PA – Penn Hills) notched 12 digs, while Molly Short '13 (Sterling, CO – Sterling) dished out 38 assists.
EC Women's Volleyball hosts a Purple and Gold Parents game at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday before welcoming the Highlanders of Houghton to Speidel Gymnasium a week from today at 7:00 p.m.
