Box Score 2 Cazenovia, NY – The Elmira College women's volleyball team (17-9) completed a sweep of the Cazenovia Dig Pink Tournament after picking up a pair of 3-0 wins. The Soaring Eagles did not lose a single set in the tournament this weekend. The EC women defeated Keystone College (11-11) in the morning matchup before taking down the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (8-12).
Taryn Rumsey '14 and
Ashley Heiman '16 led the Soaring Eagles in today's action. Rumsey finished the day with 20 kills, 15 digs, five aces and an assist while Heiman tallied 19 kills, three block assists, two digs and one solo block.
Sami Hanes '16 set up the attack today with 52 assists and also chipped in with eight digs, two block assists, two aces and two kills.
Catherine Miller '14 and
Amanda Blinkinsop '16 led the defensive effort as they combined to post 39 digs.

Elmira College 3, Keystone College 0 (26-16, 25-17, 25-9)
The EC women used the two-game sweep of the prior night as momentum going into this match-up. Rumsey and Heiman led the Purple and Gold offensively as they both tallied nine kills apiece. Hanes helped out by putting up 29 assists while Miller and Blinkinsop led the defensive effort with a combined 23 digs.

Elmira College 3, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 0 (25-8, 25-5, 25-11)
The Soaring Eagles kept the momentum rolling in the second game of the day as they let up a combined 24 points in three sets to the Trailblazers. Once again the Purple and Gold looked to Rumsey and Heiman to lead them offensively as they combined for 21 kills while Hanes produced 23 assists in the afternoon contest. Miller and Blinkinsop both put up eight digs apiece.
Elmira will compete next at the Rutgers-Camden Tri-Match next Saturday, October 19 where they are set to play Hunter College at 1:00 p.m. and Rutgers-Camden University at 3:00 p.m.
