Marcy, NY -- For the second time in five days, the Elmira College men's soccer team (7-9) has taken on one of the top teams in the East region. Today, the EC men fell 1-0 on the road to the number five team in the East region, SUNY IT (15-1-1).
The first half of play saw minimal offense as only five total shots were taken by both teams combined – three for SUNY IT and three for Elmira. EC would put both of their shots on frame but none would find the back of the net as the half ended in a scoreless draw.
In the second half, the Wildcats of SUNY IT upped the pressure with 13 shots. The offensive threat would eventually pay off when the Wildcats were awarded a penalty kick in the 76th minute in which Diego Montaleza would connect on. Montaleza's goal would hold up through the end of the second half en route to a 1-0 win for SUNY IT.

The EC men will be back in action this Saturday, November 2nd for their regular season finale when they travel to take on Utica College at 7:00 p.m.
