Box Score

Mendon, NY --
The Elmira College women's tennis team (5-2, 4-2 E8) had their five match win streak come to a halt this afternoon as they fell on the road to Nazareth College (5-4, 4-2 E8), 7-2.  Elmira's Ayaka Yoshino '16 shined in today's match as she accounted for both of EC's two points.

In doubles play, the Soaring Eagles tallied a win at the second spot as Yoshino and partner Danielle Levine '17 picked up an 8-4 win.  The victory marks the duo's six straight win at the number two position.

The win at second doubles was all EC was able to walk away with as the Golden Flyers took two of the three doubles points heading into singles play.  In singles, Yoshino was the only Soaring Eagles to tally a victory as she posted a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win at the number two spot.  With the win, Yoshino leads the 2013 edition of the Soaring Eagles with 12 total wins (six singles and six doubles).

Elmira will have a quick turnaround as they head to Hoboken, NJ to take on the Ducks of Stevens Tech.  Match-time is set for 2:30 p.m.
