Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College men's basketball team is in pursuit of their fourth straight win this weekend as EC hosts non-conference opponent Clarkson University on Saturday, December 7th.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Speidel Gymnasium in Elmira, NY.

Three in a Row
With a 73-71 road win over Oberlin College, the Elmira College men's basketball team has successfully won three straight games.  The last time Elmira has pieced together three consecutive wins dates back to the 2007-08 season when EC defeated Hartwick, Alfred, and Clarkson in consecutive games.

Empire 8 Player of the Week
Neil Randolph '15 was recognized for his outstanding play so far this season as he was tabbed as the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week.  He scored a game-high 29 points in Elmira's win over Oberlin on 8-of-11 shooting.

ECAC Upstate Player of the Week
Randolph was also recognized by the ECAC as he was named the Corvias ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week.

Keys Seventh in Country
It comes as no surprise that Josh Keys '14 continues to knock down the three-ball, he has done it since he stepped foot onto Elmira's campus.  This year has been no different as the senior guard has buried a total of 21 three-pointers, placing him seventh in the country in made three-point buckets.  Keys also ranks 25th in the country in three-point field goals per game, averaging 3.5 made three-pointers per contest.

12th in the Nation
Randolph has scored a total of 135 points through Elmira's first six games, placing him 12th in all of NCAA Division III men's basketball in total points.

Randolph - The Scoring Machine
Randolph has been on fire the last three games for the Soaring Eagles, posting game-highs of 32, 27, and 29 points for a three-game average of 29.3.  His 29.3 average is the highest over a three-game stretch in over 12 years.  The last player to come as close was former EC standout Corrin Jackson '03, who averaged 27.6 points in the last three games of the 2002-03 season.

Double-Digit Scoring Streak
Randolph has scored in double-digits each of the first six games of the 2013-14 season, the only EC player to do so this year. He is close to matching the eight-game stretch Bobby DiPiazza '11 had to open the 2008-09 season, but the forward has a ways to go to equal the 13-game streak that Micah Owens '06 put together to start the 2005-06 season.

Vogel Moves Closer
With 28 assists on the season, Derrick Vogel '14 is 50 assists from moving into a tie for 10th place in Elmira College history for career assists.

Keys Closing In
With 207 career three-pointers, Josh Keys '14 is moving ever closer to becoming Elmira's all-time leader in career three-pointers.  EC's all-time leader, Ryan Bennett '01, holds down the No. 1 spot with 249.

On the Upswing
EC's 3-3 record is their best start to a season since 2002-03 when the Soaring Eagles opened the year with four straight wins.  It is also the latest in the year that the Purple and Gold have been at .500 since the 2002-03 season.
