Bradford, PA -- A goal in double overtime by Brian Lowe '16 propelled the Elmira College men's soccer team (3-1) to a 2-1 win over Pitt-Bradford (2-4).  The Soaring Eagles outshot the Panthers 35-to-5, EC's most shots in a single contest since last year's game against Pitt-Bradford.

Elmira held the Panthers without a shot in the first half while taking 14 of their own.  However, Pitt-Bradford keeper Adam Forster made five saves to keep things scoreless going into halftime.

The Soaring Eagles would break the tie in the 75th minute of play as first year standout Michael Bryant '17 scored his third goal of the season.  Bryant has scored in each of Elmira's three wins this year and is the only Soaring Eagle to have scored in each EC victory.  Chris Aristizabal '16 was credited with the assist on Bryant's goal, his first of the year.

It looked as though Elmira would win today's game 1-0 but with 22 seconds remaining, Pitt-Bradford evened things at 1-1 to force overtime.  After a scoreless first overtime period, EC's Lowe came through in the clutch as he scored in the 103rd minute of play to give the Purple and Gold their third win of the year.

Rookie goalie Nick Lapinski '17 earned his third victory of the season as he made three saves in today's contest.

Elmira will look to build on today's win as they travel to take on RIT in a non-conference game on Tuesday, September 17th at 4:00 p.m. in Rochester, NY.
