LIVE COVERAGE
Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College men's soccer team will hit the road tomorrow, October 15th for a non-conference match-up with the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton.  Tomorrow's game is slated for 4:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
Elmira is coming off a 3-0 road loss to Empire 8 Conference perennial powerhouse, Stevens Institute of Technology.  The Soaring Eagles held the Ducks scoreless for the first 45 minutes of the game but would eventually let in three goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half to seal a three-goal defeat.  Elmira netminder, Jordan Dougherty '16, came up with four saves in the loss.

Scouting the Roos
The Kangaroos welcome Elmira to the SUNY Canton Turf Field after suffering a 1-0 loss to No. 13 nationally ranked St. Lawrence University.  SUNY Canton conceded the game's only goal in the 18th minute, but managed to keep it a one-goal game, much thanks to the efforts in net by Patrick Anunziatta who made 11 saves.  Although Canton did not score against St. Lawrence, their offense has not been an issue in 2014 as they have produced 23 goals, 13 of which came at the feet of Nick Escalante.  Escalante leads the Roos with a whopping 33 points on 13 goals and seven assists.

Series History
The Soaring Eagles own a 4-0 record in the all-time series, one that is relatively new as it dates back to the 2011 season.  Elmira and SUNY Canton have met at least once since 2011, including the 2012 season when the two teams faced each other twice, once during the regular season and once in the ECAC Tournament Semifinals.

Looking Ahead
Following Wednesday's match-up with SUNY Canton, the Elmira men will return to their Empire 8 Conference schedule as the Soaring Eagles travel to nearby Alfred, NY to face the Saxons of Alfred University on Saturday, October 18th.  Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
