Elmira, NY -- The Elmira College women's volleyball team will look to pick up a non-conference win tonight when the Soaring Eagles make the short trip to Cortland, NY to face the Red Dragons of SUNY Cortland.  Game-time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
Elmira went 1-1 last weekend at the Empire 8 Tri-Match in Utica, NY.  After dropping the opening match of the day to St. John Fisher College, Elmira bounced back with a five-set win against host Utica College.  In the Utica match, Elmira had four players with double-digit kills, marking the first time since 2010 EC has had as many players with double-digit kills.

Scouting Cortland
SUNY Cortland enters tonight's match with a 13-17 overall record and are winners of their last three matches.  Although the Red Dragons are owners of 13 wins, they have struggled to find a go-to hitter.  However, Cortland does have two players with 100-plus kills in Kayla Pollock and Janine Patora who have produced 115 and 102 kills, respectively.

All-Time Series
The Red Dragons have enjoyed the majority of success in the all-time series against Elmira.  Cortland has won 15 of the 18 all-time match-ups, including last year's five-set win in Elmira's home finale.  Elmira's most recent win in the series dates back to the 2010 season when the Soaring Eagles pulled out a five-set win on Cortland's home court.

Looking Ahead
Following tonight's match, the Soaring Eagles conclude the regular season at the New York State Regional Challenge this weekend, hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.  Elmira opens play against RIT on Friday, October 31st at 4:00 p.m.
