Elmira, NY -- It's a busy weekend for EC Athletics as all four winter sports teams are in action for the first time in 2014-15. This weekend of play features both the men's and women's ice hockey home openers as well as the men's and women's basketball season openers.
The weekend kicks-off with the men's ice hockey team hosting Utica College on Friday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. in what is a rematch of last year's ECAC West Tournament Championship game. Next up is the women's basketball team who will open their 2014-15 campaign at Speidel Gymnasium on Saturday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m. against Pitt-Bradford.
Then, also on Saturday, the number two nationally-ranked women's ice hockey team will take to the ice for the first of two games at the Murray Athletic Center against SUNY Cortland for both their home opener and their annual Pink the Rink game. Finally, the men's basketball team begins their 2014-15 season at the Oswego State Tip-Off Classic with a pair of non-conference games. EC opens the Classic against the tournament host, Oswego State, on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
