Rochester, NY -- The Elmira College men's soccer team was unable to walk away with their first win of the season today as the Soaring Eagles dropped their Empire 8 Conference opener to St. John Fisher College, 3-0.
St. John Fisher tested the Soaring Eagles' defense with an array of shots, outshooting Elmira 24-to-5. The Cardinal attack paid off as they scored the game's opening goal in the 23rd minute. EC would hold Fisher's offense scoreless for the remainder of the first half but St. John Fisher would knock-in two goals in the second half to seal a 3-0 victory.

The Purple and Gold will be back in action Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:00 p.m. when Elmira hosts Lycoming College at EC's Campus Field in Elmira, NY.
