Cortland, NY -- The Elmira College men's soccer team fell to 0-2 on the season after losing to SUNY Cortland, 6-0, Saturday evening. Kevin Huggins '16, making his first start in net since the 2012 season, made seven saves for the Soaring Eagles.
 
The Red Dragons attacked early and often, outshooting EC 19-2 in the first half, and 33-4 for the game. Cortland would put four scores on the board in the opening 45 minutes, the final coming in the form of a penalty kick with just 16 seconds remaining in the first half. The Red Dragons would add two additional goals in the second half, leading to EC's 6-0 defeat.
 
The Purple and Gold will look to pick up their first win of the season on Tuesday, September 9th when they host Oneonta State. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. on EC's Campus Field.
