Elmira, NY -- The No. 15 Elmira College men's volleyball team will be heading to Rochester, NY to compete in the Golden Flyer Tournament this weekend. The Purple and Gold will open tournament play today at 4:00 p.m. against Thiel College.
Last Time OutThe Purple and Gold are coming off a 3-2 loss to No. 7 UC Santa Cruz. The Soaring Eagles found themselves up 2-1, however, the Banana Slugs won the next two sets to claim the victory.

Mike Ellison '16 led the EC men offensively with 20 and 19 kills, respectively.
Carlos Faccio '16 set up the offense with 57 assists while
Rob Shade '15 led defensively with 14 digs.

Carlos Faccio '16 produced against UC Santa Cruz marks the third time this season that Faccio has posted 50 or more assists in a single match. In his first year as a Soaring Eagle, Faccio is averaging 10.2 assists per set.
EC with the BlockAgainst UC Santa Cruz, Elmira posted a season-high 15 total blocks, including 14 block assists. This is the most total blocks since April 12th, 2014 against New York University when the EC men tallied 18.
