ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Elmira College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that the Soaring Eagles will host the 37th annual Athletics Alumni Weekend on Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9.

This year, two basketball games will be held at Speidel Gymnasium and two ice hockey games will be played at the Murray Athletic Center in conjunction with Athletics Alumni Weekend, in addition to a slew of alumni games. Action begins on Friday night inside Speidel Gymnasium, where the EC men's and women's basketball teams will host Empire 8 Conference foe Utica. The women's game is set for 5:30 p.m. and the men's game will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Fans will then be treated to a pair of ice hockey games at the MAC on Saturday, along with an array of alumni games that will be held inside all three domes. In the MAC Ice Arena, the nationally-ranked women's ice hockey team will conclude a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) home-and-home series against the Pioneers of Utica at 3:00 p.m., before the Soaring Eagle men skate against the Flying Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley in a 7:00 p.m. UCHC showdown.

To conclude the Athletics Alumni Weekend festivities at the Murray Athletic Center, the EC Booster Club will host a post-game reception for all alumni, student-athletes and fans in the Upper Mezzanine inside the basketball dome, which will begin at the conclusion of the men's ice hockey game.
