Rookie Taylor Johnson '23 pulled down two rebounds and tied Bridget Yaw '20 for the team lead in assists, as the duo dished out two assists apiece.

EC held a two-point lead early in the first quarter, but a 12-0 run by Houghton gave the Highlanders a 14-8 lead. The Soaring Eagles hung with the Highlanders for the majority of the opening quarter, before trimming the Houghton lead to just three points, 23-20, midway through the second stanza. However, Houghton closed out the first half with an 11-4 run to send the game into halftime with Elmira trailing, 34-24.

In the third quarter, Houghton's lead ballooned to as many as 18 points on multiple occasions, before the Highlanders closed out the third with a 55-39 advantage. The fourth quarter proved to be much of the same, as Houghton's lead grew as large as 26 points. That padding helped the home team see out a 70-47 victory.
