ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Elmira College men's soccer team recorded its sixth shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory against Penn College in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon at Campus Field. Kodel Frontin '25 added a goal and an assist to pace the Purple & Gold.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Elmira would take a 1-0 advantage in the 40th minute of action as Moustapha Camara '23 played a cross to the right side of the box to find Frontin, who beat the goalkeeper to record his second goal of the season. In net, Zachary Raffino '23 made three stops for the Soaring Eagles as Penn College tallied eight total shots in the opening half.
In the second half, Lutho Mlunguza '23 finished a play in the box after taking a pass from Frontin to increase the EC advantage to 2-0. The tally by Mlunguza in the 51st minute gives him five this season for the Soaring Eagles. The Wildcats would be denied by three different shots that hit the post down the stretch in an effort to try and get onto the scoreboard.
Raffino made three saves en route to tallying his first win of the season in net for the Soaring Eagles. Frontin paced EC with a pair of shots on goal in the match, while Mlunguza, Nicholas Zanger '22, and Aidan Burns '22 each added one shot on frame.
