BRADFORD, Pa.. -- After taking an early 2-0 lead just 20 minutes into the match, the Elmira College men's soccer team conceded three goals, falling 3-2 to host Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday afternoon. Lutho Mlunguza '23 got the Soaring Eagles on the board in the 14th minute and Henry Wylie '23 made it a two goal lead six minutes later. Gavin Wise '22 assisted on both of the Purple & Gold's goals. The Panthers tied the game in the 67th minute before finding a game-winner in the 83rd.

JUST THE BASICS:
SCORE: Elmira 2, Pitt-Bradford 3
LOCATION: Bradford, PA.
TEAM RECORDS: Elmira (3-2, 0-0 E8), Pitt-Bradford (2-3-1, 0-0 AMCC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The scoring started in the 14th minute when Wise received a pass on the right side of the 18-yard box, he beat his man with a quick move and sent a beautiful cross toward the back post. There it found the foot of Mlunguza who knocked it into the back of the net.

Just six minutes later, it looked like EC might run away with it when a mishandled throw-in by Pitt-Bradford started a counter attack for the Soaring Eagles. The ball was pushed ahead to Wise who was sprinting down the middle of the pitch, he wasted no time slotting in a perfect pass to Wylie at the top of the 18-yard box. Wylie took the pass and directed it past the keeper into the right side of goal to make it 2-0.

In the 25th minute, the Panthers answered in impressive fashion when Morounfoluwa Olorunyomi took a free kick from over 40 yards out and blasted it over the goalkeeper's head and into goal.

In the second half, Pitt-Bradford would tie things up in the 67th minute off a goal from Jan Winnewisser. Winnewisser fired a shot at EC keeper Zachary Raffino '23, who blocked it but the rebound bounced out to his right and Winnewisser was able to knock it in. With just under seven minutes left in the match, the Panthers would strike on a counter attack, scoring the game-winning goal. A turnover in their own territory by the Soaring Eagles was picked up by Chase Rider, dribbled the length of the field and scored after a quick give and go with teammate Winnerwisser.
