HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first set played back-and-forth up until the midway point, with Elmira holding on to a 13-12 advantage. Four Keystone errors and a service ace from Cami Witchley '25 was part of a 5-0 run that gave Elmira an 18-12 lead nearing the end of the opening set. Three straight points for the Giants brought the score within three but the Soaring Eagles scored seven of the final eight points, including a pair of kills and a pair of service aces on their way to a 25-16 first set victory.

Headed to the second set with a clear advantage in momentum, Elmira began the frame on a 9-0 run, part of a 16-1 advantage which tracked back to the end of the first set. After forcing the Giants to use a timeout, Elmira traded points back-and-forth with Keystone, who brought the score to as close as seven points at 16-9. Elmira would go on to score nine of the next 11 points which included four Keystone attack errors to take the set by a score of 25-11.

Holding a 2-0 advantage in the match, the third set proved to be much of the same of the Soaring Eagles. Despite the set being tied at 10-10 nearing the midway point, Elmira rattled off 10 straight to take a commanding 20-10 lead which included four kills and two service aces. Keystone was able to put three more on the board, but it wasn't enough as Elmira cruised to a 25-13 third set win and a 3-0 victory in the match.
