Box Score BEREA, Ohio.  – The Elmira College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Yellow Jackets from Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon. Despite falling in straight sets, the Soaring Eagles were outscored by just nine total points, including a 28-26 decision in the third set.
 
Jordan Peiser  '24 led the way with 11 kills for the Soaring Eagles, while Oscar Munoz Trinidad '23 added 10 kills for Elmira.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Soaring Eagles battled through the opening set with the score eventually knotted at 19-19 before the Yellow Jackets tallied three straight points to retake the lead at 22-19. From there, the Soaring Eagles would get a pair of kills from Peiser before a service error and attack error secured the opening set for the hosts.
 
In the second, the Soaring Eagles found themselves down a pair once again nearing the end of the set (22-20) before two straight from Baldwin Wallace increased their lead to 24-20. From there, Munoz Trinidad recorded a kill, followed by an attacking error for the Yellow Jacket to cut the lead to just a pair once again. Baldwin Wallace secured the second set out of a timeout with a kill from Michael Devlin.
 
In the third, the Soaring Eagles found themselves tied once again, this time in extra play as 25 point was not enough for either team to secure the set. With the score tied at 26-26, Delvin & Nick Irelan each recorded kills for Baldwin Wallace in route to a 3-0 win.
