HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Pioneers created a shot on goal just 55 seconds into the match and Alyssa Pisano was there to clean up the rebound to give her team a 1-0 lead. The EC defense would respond though and keep Utica off the board for the remainder of the quarter.
The Soaring Eagles searched for a tying score in the 13th minute when they won back to back penalty corners but could not find a goal from either opportunity.
The Pioneers would find two goals in the second quarter to go into halftime up 3-0. Utica would do the rest of its damage in the third quarter, coming up with goals at the 30:48, 33:22, and 39:46 marks.
