PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey program made its final road trip of the season on Saturday as the Soaring Eagles traveled to take on the Nazareth College Golden Flyers. Nazareth would come away with a 12-0 victory in the contest to move to 4-4 in Empire 8 Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Golden Flyers opened the scoring just over three minutes into the contest as a shot from the right side of the circle would find the back of the cage to make it 1-0. Nazareth would double its lead at the 7:44 mark to make it 2-0.

MeganRae Burke '24 tried her best to keep the Soaring Eagles in the contest as she would be tasked with making 12 saves in the second quarter of action. The Golden Flyers would add three more goals to their total in the frame by scoring in the 21st, 22nd, and 30th minute to stretch the lead to 5-0.
Nazareth tallied two more goals in the third quarter of action before blitzing the Soaring Eagles for five more tallies in the fourth quarter. The Golden Flyers finished the contest with a 21-0 edge in penalty corners, while the Soaring Eagles tallied 20 saves in the contest.
Burke finished the game with 19 saves for the Purple & Gold, while
Hannah Whittier '23 was credited with a defensive save in the fourth quarter.
