HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Purple & Gold came out strong in the match, controlling the possession for the first 15 minutes of play with the ball mostly in the Saxons end of the field. As the half continued on, the game lived in the middle of the pitch with both teams vying for chances to create for their forwards.

In the 32nd minute, EC won a corner kick and the ball bounced out to the top of the penalty area where Tarntino was able to put a shot on goal but the Alfred keeper made the save. In the second half, both teams were able to get shots on goal within the first three minutes of action. Ingber received a pass with her back to goal inside the left half of the penalty box and made a nice turn and rip at goal that forced the Saxon keeper to dive for the save, giving the Soaring Eagles a corner kick. EC's corner would find the head of Emily Andersen '26 but her header attempt went wide left.

Alfred picked up the pace over the final 15 minutes of the match as they won three corner kicks and forced Winston into three saves.
