BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Despite getting a pair of shots on goal from
Jenna Ellis '24 and
Caitlin Ehlenfield '27, the Elmira College field hockey program dropped a 10-0 decision on Wednesday against Brockport in a non-conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles would get an early scoring look against Brockport as Ellis worked her way towards the goal and would take a shot that would be stopped less than a minute into the first quarter.
- Brockport would take a 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the contest before Bailey Lazore added a pair of goals for the Golden Eagles.
- Elmira goalkeeper MeganRae Burke '24 registered five saves for the Purple & Gold in the first quarter and would make a pair of saves in the second quarter.
- Just over three minutes into the start of the second half, Ehlenfield took a shot for the Soaring Eagles that would be denied by the Brockport goalkeeper. The opportunity would lead to a penalty corner for Elmira.
- The next penalty corner opportunity would follow less than a minute later for the Soaring Eagles as Angelina Caban '26 would have her shot blocked by the Brockport defense.
- Burke finished the contest with 13 saves for Elmira, while Brockport held a slim 4-3 advantage in penalty corners.
