PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey program honored three members of the Class of 2024 on Saturday as the Soaring Eagles came away victorious against the Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks, 4-0.
Jenna Ellis '24 scored the eventual game-winning goal for the Soaring Eagles and finished with a pair of assists, while goalkeeper
MeganRae Burke '24 recorded her second shutout of the season and the third of her career for Elmira.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira opened the scoring just over 16 minutes into the contest as Ellis found a loose ball in front of the goalkeeper.
- Jazmine Elliott '26 would add to the lead for the Soaring Eagles at the 21:30 mark of the second quarter as she took a pass from the left side of the cage from Ellis and would beat the goalkeeper.
- Just over three minutes into the start of the second half, Caitlin Ehlenfield '27 would officially score her first goal of the season for the Soaring Eagles as she weaved her way through the Redhawks defense to make it 3-0.
- Ehlenfield would add her second goal of the contest just over the 40-minute mark for the Purple & Gold to make it 4-0. Ehlenfield took a pass from Ellis in the middle of the box and would beat the goalkeeper to the low left corner.
- Burke recorded her second win of the season and finished with 12 saves for Elmira, while the Soaring Eagles held a 20-12 advantage in shots on goal against the Redhawks. The Redhawks finished the contest with a 13-11 advantage in penalty corners.
