ELMIRA, NY. – Elmira women's soccer honored its players in the class of 2024 when it recognized seniors Sarah Wagner '24, Mackenzie Barton '24, and Jenna Castellucci '24 on Saturday afternoon before a match against Nazareth. The Soaring Eagles kept the game at a scoreless draw until the visitors found the breakthrough in the 40th minute. Elmira conceded another in the second half, resulting in a 2-0 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The opener came nearly 40 minutes into the match when a Golden Flyer shot hit the woodwork. The ball ricocheted back to Nazareth, who was able to find the back of the net.
- Elmira tried its luck just over two minutes later on a long-range effort by Tierney Krawczyk '27, which the Nazareth goalkeeper saved.
- That was the last action of the half, and Elmira entered the break facing a 1-0 deficit.
- Nazareth netted its second in the 70th minute, making it a two-goal lead for the visitors.
- The Soaring Eagles could not get back into the match and fell by a final of 2-0.
- Elmira registered just one shot in the game compared to 24 for Nazareth.
- Nevaeh Winston '25 stopped seven shots on the day.
