CANTON, NY. – The Soaring Eagles made the trip to Canton to take on the SUNY Canton Roos on Sunday afternoon. After a scoreless first half, Tierney Krawczyk '27 slotted a shot past the Roos keeper before Canton equalized just over 11 minutes later. No team could find the winner as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first half ended with neither team finding the back of the net. Elmira had five shots in the first half but none of them could beat the goalkeeper.
- Elmira would strike first in the 64th minute when Tierney Krawczyk recovered her shot after it was blocked before curling it into the top left corner, giving Krawczyk her first goal in Purple and Gold.
- The equalizer by the Roos came quickly when Savannah Hoffman scored on a free kick from just outside the penalty box, placing the ball under the crossbar in the 75th minute.
- Despite nine shots in the second half compared to Canton's two, the one goal would be all the Soaring Eagles could produce, leading to a draw.
- Sarah Wagner '24 led the team with three shots on goal, followed by Krawczyk with two.
- Goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston '25 registered three saves on the day.
