BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey team opened its Empire 8 schedule on Saturday afternoon with a matchup against Hartwick College as the Hawks would come away with a 10-0 victory over the Soaring Eagles at Wright Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira goalkeeper MeganRae Burke '24 played just over 38 minutes in the cage for the Soaring Eagles and registered 19 saves.
- First-year goalkeeper Reese Bowen '27 would take over for Burke in the second half and finished the contest with three saves in 21 minutes of action for the Purple & Gold.
- Angelina Caban '26 recorded a defensive save for the Soaring Eagles with 30 seconds left to play in the first quarter following a penalty corner by the Hawks.
- Hartwick opened the scoring just over six minutes into the contest as Danielle Hand found the back of the cage off an assist from Libby Fortin. The Hawks would tally three goals in the first period and five more in the second period.
