  • In the opening frame, the Soaring Eagles and Broncos would match each other with six kills a piece, but eight attacking errors (.-074 hitting percentage), six reception errors, and four service errors for SUNY Delhi allowed Elmira to take advantage in the first set to take an early lead with four kills from Boucher.
  • In the second, the Soaring Eagles would find themselves trailing 9-5 in the early going before an 8-1 run found EC ahead 13-10. From there, a 4-0 run from the Broncos would force Elmira into a timeout before the home squad eventually took the frame 25-19. In the set, the Broncos doubled its kill total from the first set (12), while increasing its hitting percentage to .243%.

From there, Elmira would rattle off three consecutive points to hold the 25-24 advantage before back-and-forth play ensued once again, with Elmira taking the set following a kill from Boucher, who upped her kill total to nine through two frames while Morgan Richardson '25 had seven through the trio of sets.
  • The two teams would battle to a 10-10 score in the fourth set before the Broncos would storm away to force the match to a deciding fifth set following a 15-8 run to end the frame.
  • In the fifth, the teams would be knotted at 10-10 once again, but a 3-0 run from the Soaring Eagles, which included a pair of service aces from Makenna Clark '24 would allow Elmira to get a kill from Richardson to put the match away.
  • For the game, Elmira would record 38 kills compared to 43 for the Broncos, while receiving 31 set assists from Asia Curkendall '25 and 17 digs from Gabriela Rodriguez '26.
