ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey program traveled to Rochester on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup against Roberts Wesleyan University. The RedHawks would come away with a 5-0 victory on their home field against the Soaring Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roberts Wesleyan opened the scoring a minute into the first quarter to gain a 1-0 edge and would extend its advantage with a tally at the 6:28 mark.
- The RedHawks closed the scoring with a goal at the 13:02 mark of the opening frame to make it 3-0. Elmira goalkeeper Reese Bowen '27 recorded four saves for the Purple & Gold in the first quarter.
- Bowen recorded three saves in the second quarter as the RedHawks would take a 3-0 lead into the half.
- The RedHawks added a goal in the third quarter at the 39:03 mark before tallying a goal at the 59:59 mark of the fourth quarter to make it 5-0. Roberts Wesleyan held a 14-0 advantage in penalty corners while adding 14 shots on goal.
- Bowen finished the contest with nine saves for the Soaring Eagles.
