Peyton DeMaio '28 both recorded defensive saves on Tuesday as the Elmira College field hockey team dropped a 10-0 decision at home against the Houghton University Highlanders in an Empire 8 Conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles recorded three defensive saves in the first quarter as Jazmine Knox '28 was responsible for a pair, while teammate Peyton DeMaio '28 recorded her team-leading 11th defensive save of the season later in the opening frame.
- Houghton tallied four goals in the first quarter, while Elmira goalkeeper Reese Bowen '27 recorded six saves. The Highlanders followed with three more goals in the second quarter to take a 7-0 advantage into the half.
- The Highlanders would add a pair of goals in the third quarter and one more in the fourth quarter to round out the scoring.
- Bowen finished the contest with 13 saves in cage for the Soaring Eagles.
