MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville Mustangs scored four times in the first half followed by three second-half goals to defeat the Elmira College field hockey program 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at Drake Field.
Madison Fleming '27 and
Nicole Luther '28 paced the Elmira offense with a combined eight shots on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Morrisville tallied a pair of goals in the opening frame to jump out to an early advantage at home before adding two more goals in the second quarter to take a 4-0 lead into the half against the Soaring Eagles.
- In the third quarter, the Mustangs added a pair of goals to extend their advantage to 6-0. The contest would enter a lightning delay with 11:43 remaining in the fourth quarter and would last roughly 20 minutes before the match resumed.
- Morrisville closed the scoring with a single goal in the fourth quarter to push its lead to 7-0. Despite trailing heading into the final frame of the contest, the Purple & Gold would record five shots on goal while taking five penalty corners as they looked to get onto the scoreboard.
- Madison Fleming '27 and Nicole Luther '28 each finished with four shots on goal for the Soaring Eagles, while Talia Nash '28 added a shot on goal for Elmira.
- Defensively, Elmira goalkeeper Reese Bowen '27 stopped six shots through 60 minutes of action while the Purple & Gold defense recorded a pair of defensive saves.
