ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College field hockey program held a pre-game ceremony to honor three members of the Class of 2025,
Jazmine Elliott '25,
Neha Wajahat '25, and
Rediet Fekade '27.
Nicole Luther '28 netted her first collegiate goal for the Soaring Eagles in the third quarter of the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brockport tallied three goals in the opening seven minutes of the contest to jump out to a 3-0 advantage against the Soaring Eagles. Brockport added another goal just over 13 minutes into the contest to take a 4-0 lead.
- The Golden Eagles added three more goals in the second quarter with each coming in the opening seven minutes. Elmira would tally a pair of shots on goal in the second quarter as Nicole Luther '28 would have a pair of shots denied by Brockport.
- It would be Luther who got the Purple & Gold onto the scoreboard in the third quarter as she found space inside the circle to beat the Brockport goalkeeper at the 39:37 mark. Jazmine Elliott '25 added the assist on Luther's first collegiate goal for the Soaring Eagles.
- Despite not being able to tally a goal in the fourth quarter, Elmira would notch three shots on goal as Caitlin Ehlenfield '27 was responsible for two, while Talia Nash '28 registered the other on goal.
- Peyton DeMaio '28 registered a defensive save for the Purple & Gold, while Elmira goalkeeper Reese Bowen '27 finished the contest with 11 saves.
