PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles hosted the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles on Saturday night at the Murray Athletic Center. EC won the Battle of the Birds in overtime, 4-3 by way of a Carter Wisely '25 breakaway goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
For the second night in a row, Chance Gorman '24 (1-1-2) and Ryan Reifler '24 (2-1-3) made magic on the ice, with both registering multi-point games.

With those two combining for the three goals in regulation, Wisely took it upon himself to net the fourth on a breakaway in overtime, ending the game, and giving EC a weekend sweep of two SUNY schools.

Kyle Curtin '26 returned to the blue paint, where he stopped 24 shots while David Filak turned away 36 at the other end.

Kyle Hughes '28, Bailey Krawczyk '24, and Nathan Young '25 each finished the game with one assist for EC.

The Purple & Gold will roll into Boston, MA next weekend looking to keep their winning streak going heading back into conference play. Opening puck drop on Friday night is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
