Ingber Scores as Elmira Draws with Keuka on Wednesday Evening

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's soccer team battled to a 1–1 draw with Keuka College on Wednesday evening at Campus Field. Senior forward Faith Ingber '26 tallied her team-leading goal of the season to pace the Soaring Eagles, while Tierney Krawczyk '27 added the assist.

JUST THE BASICS:
SCORE: Elmira 1, Keuka 1
LOCATION: Elmira, NY | Campus Field
TEAM RECORDS: Elmira (2-10-2, 1-5-2 Empire 8), Keuka (1-8-4, 1-5-2 Empire 8)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The first half would be a stalemate on the offensive side of things, despite the Soaring Eagles holding a 6-1 advantage in shots compared to Keuka. Despite the offensive pressure, the Purple & Gold were unable to find the back of the net in the opening frame. Keuka netminder Elianna Wilder finished the opening half with four saves, while Sarah Cantrell '29 was not tested in net, as Keuka's lone shot of the period would go wide.
  • To open the second half, it didn't take long for Elmira to apply pressure as Faith Ingber '26 fired a shot off the post, much like Emily Seiler '28 did in the first half, which kept the contest scoreless.
  • With 24:21 remaining in the contest, the Soaring Eagles would break through as Tierney Krawczyk '27 found Ingber on a cross pass, who buried the shot of the left post before tricking along to the right side of the frame to put the Purple & Gold in front 1-0.
  • As play continued, the next big chance for either side would come with 18:10 remaining, as Cantrell would make a diving save to her right to keep the score where it was with Elmira in front. The Wolves managed the equalizer late, as Keuka's Lydia Lane scored in the 88th minute to level the contest.
  • Elmira generated 13 shots, including seven on goal, while holding Keuka to just four attempts. Ingber led the charge with five shots and three on target.
  • Cantrell made one save in the match, helping Elmira's defense keep Keuka off the board for over 85 minutes.
