ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's soccer team worked hard on the offensive third of the pitch but came up short in a hard-fought battle against Nazareth, falling 1-0 on the road in Empire 8 action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A scoreless first half saw goalkeeper Sarah Cantrell '29 recording three key saves, keeping both teams in an evenly contested match. The Soaring Eagles held their own as Cantrell recorded another four saves in the second half of play, but Nazareth broke through in the final minute of play to net the game's only goal.
- Cantrell was strong in net, tallying seven saves over 90 minutes to keep Elmira in the match. Offensively, Bella Thomas '28 and Brookelyn Porter '27 recorded Elmira's two shots on goal.
- Nazareth outshot Elmira 21-2 and held a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks.
