Soaring Eagles Come Up Short to Hartwick on Senior Day

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's volleyball team stole a set early against Hartwick but came up just short against the Hawks, 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Soaring Eagles took the first set from the Hawks, led by Morgan Sica '28 with nine kills followed by Erin Bracken '28 with seven kills in the match.
  • Hartwick took an early lead in set two to soar past Elmira, 25-9. A close-knit third and fourth set saw both teams trading points before narrowly falling 25-22 and 25-21.
  • Alyson Hagberg '25 and Vicki Titus '28 both tallied three service aces while Gabriela Rodriguez '25 recorded 11 digs.
  • Elmira finished the match with 34 kills, 32 assists, and 38 digs as a team. 
UP NEXT:
The Soaring Eagles hit the road to Utica, NY to face SUNY Polytechnic Institute for an Empire 8 matchup on Friday, October 31. The match is set for 7:00 PM.
