ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference match to Alfred State on Tuesday evening at Speidel Gymnasium, as the Pioneers earned a 3-0 victory (25-15, 25-17, 25-18).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles battled throughout the contest but were ultimately outpaced by an efficient Alfred State offense that hit .325 as a team.
- Elmira was led by Madalyn Devonshire '29, who tallied a team-high seven kills to go along with one block assist. Erin Bracken '28 followed with four kills and a team-leading 11 assists, while Lilyanah Doolittle '29 added three kills on a .750 hitting percentage.
- Defensively, Gabriela Rodriguez '26 anchored the back row with nine digs, and Alyson Hagberg '26 contributed five digs and one service ace.
- At the net, Devonshire and Doolittle each registered a pair of block assists for the Purple & Gold.
- The Pioneers were led by Alayna Tomlinson, who finished with 11 kills and three service aces, while setter Gabriella Thurmond recorded 33 assists and six aces.
