ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's soccer team dropped an Empire 8 matchup to Hartwick College on Wednesday evening, falling 5-0 at Elmore Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Hawks came out strong offensively, scoring three goals in the first half and adding two more in the second to secure the victory. Elmira produced seven total shots in the contest, with four of those landing on target.
- Hartwick's Olivia Farnham opened the scoring in the 9th minute, while Sara Moore and Addyson Galuski added tallies later in the first half to give the hosts a 3-0 lead at the break. Millie Caldon and Nelle Slavitsky each found the back of the net in the second half to round out the scoring.
- For Elmira, Bella Thomas '28 and Faith Ingber '26 led the offensive effort, combining for five of the team's seven shots. Thomas tallied a pair of shots on goal, while Ingber and Tierney Krawczyk '26 each added one.
- In net, Sarah Cantrell '29 made three saves in 69 minutes of action, before Emma Whalen '26 entered for the remainder of the match and recorded two stops.
- Goalkeeper Mikayla Piersa earned the shutout for Hartwick, making four saves on Elmira's four shots on goal.
