ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's ice hockey team hosted the SUNY Canton Roo's inside the Murray Athletic Center for Military Appreciation Night. The Soaring Eagles were able to net one but dropped the match 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elmira was aggressive on the ice in the first period, outshooting the Roo's 11-3.
- SUNY Canton took the early advantage over Elmira with their first goal at 17:06 in the first period. The Soaring Eagles recorded two shots in a power play opportunity but was unable to knot the score.
- The Roo's outshot the Soaring Eagles 17-9 during the second period, recording their second goal at 8:21. Elmira's second power play opportunity came at 5:53 but once again were unable to capitalize.
- Elmira's third power play opportunity did not work in their favor, as SUNY Canton scored their third goal at 5:03.
- With five minutes remaining in the match, the Roo's scored their fourth goal to seal their victory. The Soaring Eagles retaliated with their lone goal of the match from Austin Jerzak '--, assisted by Makai Tarjamo and Stephan McDonald.
- The Roo's finished the contest with nine blocked shots, while the Soaring Eagles registered 15 blocked shots.
