ELMIRA, N.Y. – Elmira College sophomore guard Kelton Brown has been named Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week, earning the honor for the second time this season.

Brown led the way for the Soaring Eagles in matchups against Penn College and St. Elizabeth University, averaging 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists as Elmira split its two games this past week.

On December 5 against Penn College, Brown delivered 28 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals while shooting 53% from the field in a nail-biting 96–95 overtime win.

The next day, the Soaring Eagles traveled to Morristown, N.J., to face St. Elizabeth University, where Brown recorded a 25-point, 13-rebound double-double along with 4 assists and 4 steals. Elmira was unable to overcome an early deficit and fell 85–66.

Brown is off to a strong start to the season, leading the team in scoring at 23 points per game. He also leads the Soaring Eagles in assists (4 per game) and steals (3 per game) and is the team's second-leading rebounder with 8 per game.
