ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's basketball program outscored the Keuka College Wolves 30-19 in the second half as the Soaring Eagles would secure a 58-46 victory over the Wolves on Tuesday in an Empire 8 Conference matchup inside Speidel Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles controlled the tempo in the first quarter against the Wolves and would use a 6-0 run down the stretch to take a 15-7 lead at the end of the opening frame.
- Taylor Jung '25 opened the run for EC with a layup at the 3:00 mark and would be followed by a layup from Emma Ryan '28. Nevaeh Winston '25 closed the scoring in the quarter by hitting a pair of free-throws for the Purple & Gold.
- Elmira stretched its lead to 16-7 early in the second quarter before the Wolves trimmed the deficit to 18-17 with a 7-0 run.
- The Wolves rallied to take a 27-26 lead in the quarter with 1:39 left before a late jumper from Amarionah Dixon '26 with 39 seconds remaining gave the Purple & Gold a 28-27 edge.
- A 3-pointer from Laura Bogota '25 in the third quarter would give EC a 37-33 edge, while a pair of free-throws from Dixon pushed the lead to 39-33 with 4:01 left. Keuka trimmed the gap to a single point in the frame before EC used a 5-0 run to take a 44-38 lead.
- Elmira's defense would lock-in down the stretch in the fourth quarter as Keuka tallied just one point over the final four minutes of the contest. A tip-in from Jung would give EC its first double-digit advantage of the contest to make it 56-45.
- Jung paced EC in the contest with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Winston added 12 points and nine boards. Ryan also finished in double-digits with 10 points to go along with a 4-of-4 showing from the floor.
- Elmira finished the game 23-of-55 from the field along with a 9-of-11 showing at the charity stripe. Keuka was paced by 13 points from Caiden Crego as the Wolves finished 17-of-46 from the floor and 9-of-15 at the line.
