Short-Handed Goal Sinks Soaring Eagles Late

HENNIKER, NH – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles finished their weekend road trip in New Hampshire with a 2-1 loss to the NEC Pilgrims on Saturday evening.

JUST THE BASICS:
SCORE: Elmira 1, NEC 2
LOCATION: Henniker, NH | Lee Clement Arena

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Pilgrims answered with a power-play goal of their own in the dying minutes of the first period via Egor Osipik.

The score remained 1-1 until midway through the third when Gunnar Sibley found the back of the net while the Pilgrims were short handed.

The 2-1 score held and the Soaring Eagles came away with an empty weekend.

Brody Haynes '26 denied 31 of 33 shots he faced while Anthony Beaulieu finished with 22 saves on 23 shots, once again beating EC.
