NEW PALTZ, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles traveled to the Hawk Center for a tri match against SUNY New Paltz and Elms College, falling short against New Paltz in straight sets but beating Elms 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MATCH ONE):
Jordan Peiser '24 led Elmira with eight kills, followed closely by Luke Jata '27 with seven and Paten Buckwalter '28 with four.
Dylan Vargas '27 and Buckwalter each recorded a service ace for Elmira.
At the net, Peiser, Vargas, and Buckwalter each registered two blocks.
Setter Max Cohen '25 dished out 23 assists, while Jake Suffa '25 and Connor Barton '27 contributed one apiece.
Peiser also led the team in digs with six, while Jata (five) and Cohen (four) rounded out the defensive effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MATCH TWO):
Elmira controlled the match from start to finish, hitting an impressive .348 as a team. Peiser and Jayden Long '28 led the way with seven kills apiece, while Vargas added four.
The Soaring Eagles showcased their serving prowess, tallying 10 aces, with Cache Littrell '27 and Nick Rohman '28 each recording three.
At the net, Caden Sims '28 led with three blocks, while Peiser and Max Cohen '25 each contributed one.
Rohman facilitated the offense with 29 assists, helping Elmira maintain their efficient attack.
On defense, Littrell paced the team with six digs, followed by Rei Yuasa '28 with five and Cohen with four.
